A WORD FROM OUR INTERNS
Six months ago, we came to Florida filled with excitement and eagerness to learn. Our very first task was to write the September newsletter where we decided to write about fresh starts. Coming to Florida by ourselves and starting this adventure was certainly a beginning of something new and challenging. Our time in Florida has included everything from planning and executing events at places like Tower Club and Panthers Arena, to having frequent meetings with our treasurer at Ann’s Florist on Las Olas. We have created and maintained relationships with old and new members and gained insight into industries that were previously completely unknown to us. We have also learned things we never thought we would – like what to do when you get a flat tire or your engine starts to smoke… All in all, we are very proud to say that we have survived the process of learning how to run the daily operations of a fantastic non-profit organization like the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce.
