The annual SACC Summit is a key event to support and facilitate economic expansion and business between the United States and Sweden. Not only is the U.S. Sweden’s largest trading partner outside the EU, Swedish companies also create over 350,000 job opportunities in the U.S. In addition, Sweden is one of the largest investors per capita in the U.S.
Gathering business leaders and entrepreneurs together with representatives from 20 regional Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce, the SACC Summit provides a robust platform for customer discovery and business development. Participants also had the opportunity to meet regional decision makers in Florida, a prime location for business.
The program offered top-level speakers and panel discussions on the theme of “The Future Of…”, with fantastic opportunities to Connect, Network and Grow with the entire Swedish-American business community here in the U.S. and from Sweden.
SACC Florida was very proud to host the SACC Summit 2022, and strengthening cooperation between actors in Sweden and the U.S. – on the Summit dates November 3-4 and year-round.

SACC Summit 2022 Main Sponsor

SACC Summit 2022 Day 1
We kicked off the SACC Summit 2022 with a lunch served in the Huizenga Pavillion at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, overlooking the beautiful New River. Followed by welcoming remarks and a few words from Signhild Arnegård Hansen, The Chairman of SACC USA, Per Cedergren, The President of SACC Florida, Vice Mayor Broward County Lamar Fisher, and Björn Arvidsson, Minister Counselor, Head of Trade and Economic Affairs, Embassy of Sweden.
The day then continued with speeches by business thinker and author Dr. Jonas Ridderstråle, Andrew Dunn, President Mobile Guarding North America, Securitas, as well as a Panel Discussion on the theme Security with Rya Manners, Securitas, Maria-Pia Hope, Vinge and Fernando Esteban, Axis, moderated by Patrik Melander, Connect 5G.
The day ended with a pre-dinner mingle and a boat ride to Yot bar & kitchen situated right by the waterfront of the New River, where a dinner was served in sponsorship with Vikand.
SACC Summit 2022 Day 2
Day 2 of the SACC Summit, started off with a Panel Discussion on the theme Sustainability and Electro- mobility with Fredrik Klevenfeldt, Volvo Trucks, Lasse Svensson, Autoliv, Jasmin Utter, SAS, and Ricardo Opperman, Wärtsilä, moderated by Stephen Jordan, CEO at Institute for Sustainable Development.
The day continued with speeches from Fredrik Klevenfeldt, Director Brand Marketing Communications at Volvo Trucks North America, Jasmin Utter, General Manager SAS Region Americas, Lasse Svensson, Account Manager EV Autoliv North America, Anders Gustafsson, Volvo Cars, and a “Fire- Side Chat” with Christer Otterström, Hummeltorp, and Stephen Jordan, CEO at Institute for Sustainable Development.
The day ended with an insightful panel discussion on the theme Entrepreneurship moderated by Ebba Blitz, Ensure Endpoint Technologies Inc., with participation by , Kerstin Holm, Founder Institute, Patrik Melander, Connect 5G, and Karin Mörner Cedergren, Cimplement, and Charlotte Kramer, Embassy of Sweden.
To wrap up the SACC Summit 2022, we had the pleasure of Dr. Jonas Ridderstråle giving some summarizing thoughts.
We ended the SACC Summit 2022 the same way we started; with a beautiful lunch overlooking the New River in the Huizenga Pavillion at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

On November 2nd we had an internal evening at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort with SACC Board members and Officers only, to network and discuss talent mobility updates.

SACC Summit 2022 was held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, located in the downtown Fort Lauderdale riverfront area.
Speeches and panel discussions took place in the Huizenga Pavillion, a bright spacious ballroom with its windows facing The New River.
