SACC FLORIDA

For the month of September, we have the pleasure of highlighting Skybridge Resource Center (SRC), a company dedicated to supporting Swedish businesses entering and operating in the U.S. market.

Annette Gustafsson Guenther is the founder and president of SRC. Her U.S. journey began when she moved from Sweden to the U.S. as a child, an experience that shaped her drive to help Swedish companies establish and grow in the U.S. market. With law degrees both from Uppsala University as well as Chicago Kent College of Law, she combines legal expertise with an entrepreneurial spirit.  Law Offices A.E. Gustafsson, P.C. was the first entity Annette founded, followed by SRC, which was set up to meet demand for broader qualified business services, such as HR, accounting, financial and tax coordination as well as operational support.

Annette has founded and developed three still active business companies. With the support of her team of 38 people she offers Swedish businesses practical, culturally aware guidance based on real-world experience. Her approach to entrepreneurship is driven by curiosity, determination, and an ability to turn challenges into opportunities.

SRC helps Swedish companies and entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of starting, developing and managing a business in the U.S., offering a full range of services, including strategic management, legal and business advisory, accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, HR, and talent acquisition. The primary focus is helping Swedish companies establish a sustainable presence in the U.S.

SRC’s unique focus on supporting Swedish companies enter the U.S. means their team understands the specific cultural, legal, and the business challenges Swedish companies encounter when entering the U.S. market. SRC bridges the gap between the two business environments and offers tailored support, strategic guidance, and access to a wide network. It is this deep understanding of both the Sweden and U.S. that sets SRC apart and which has made SRC a trusted partner for many Swedish enterprises looking for entry and growth in the U.S.

When a Swedish company turns to SRC for assistance with establishing a U.S. entity, the process starts with incorporation of a U.S. entity, followed by exploring work visa options for key people transferring to the U.S., which is typically handled by SRC’s sister company, Law Offices A.E. Gustafsson. Once the company has been set up it transitions to SRC, which develops a company specific strategy and identifies the specific business support services they may need, whether legal, operational, or administrative, and to ensure their U.S. business journey is as seamless as possible.

For many Swedish companies, entering the U.S. market can be daunting, with challenge such as:
●    Navigating complex and varying regulations across different states.
●    Understanding local tax obligations, significantly different compared to Sweden.
●    Understanding and adapting to local business practices.

A common pitfall is applying Swedish business strategies and practice in the U.S. market. As the saying goes: “when in Rome, do as the Romans”.  Success in the U.S. market requires a willingness to adapt to local customs, expectations, and business culture.

The success of SRC is largely due to their focus on Swedish companies entering and operating in the U.S., as well as the wide range of services offered under one roof. What sets SRC apart is an in-depth knowledge of specific challenges Swedish businesses tend to encounter when entering the U.S. market. SRC’s team delivers tailored, strategic, and proactive support that goes beyond mainstream advisory. It combines expertise in areas such as accounting, tax, HR, operations, and compliance.

SRC has been actively involved with SACC for more than 30 years, so joining SACC Florida was a natural next step in expanding their presence across the U.S. “It’s important for us to continue building connections with more Swedish companies operating in or exploring the U.S. market. Supporting SACC’s mission and help strengthen the Swedish- American relations is something we value highly.”, Annette says.

Looking ahead, SRC aims to further strengthen its support for Swedish companies expanding into the U.S. market. A key priority is enhancing its service offerings and leveraging new technology to streamline processes and deliver an even better client experience. The company is also excited to expand its network within the Scandinavian business community and develop more strategic partnerships to provide even greater value to its clients. Above all, SRC’s vision for 2025 is to continue growing sustainably while staying true to what defines the company: delivering personalized, high-quality service that clients can rely on.
